Treat Playing Craps as a Business

TREAT PLAYING CRAPS AS A BUSINESS

The greatest reward as a professional or business owner is the freedom to “work” your own hours without struggling to survive and obtain financial independence and security.   Playing craps professionally means operating a business.  In any business or profession, most people will normally research and learn before investing their money.  Why wouldn’t you do the same before playing craps, especially when playing with real money?

Casinos will gladly teach you how to make bets at the craps table.  In fact, they hold free tutorial classes in the casino at the craps table to teach you how to make a bet.  What they do not teach you is techniques and strategies to win - - only how to make a bet.  Do you actually believe that casino personnel will you how to win their money?  Of course you don’t!

Consider this.  If the casino personnel really knew how to make money playing craps do you think they would be working for the casino and teaching you how?  Undoubtedly, they would be playing craps professionally themselves.

All businesses encounter operational problems and costs.  Playing craps professionally avoids typical problems or costs.  You are the sole proprietor of a professional business.  It requires no attorneys, accountant or bookkeepers.  You will have no collection problems, no inventory, no advertising, no “customers” and no employees.  Playing craps as a professional requires no insurance, licenses, classes, education degrees, applications, fees, dues or registration.  IT DOES, HOWEVER, REQUIRE YOU TO PUT THE TIME AND EFFORT TO LEARN THE GAME OF CRAPS!  If you are not willing to invest your time and money to learn, then, just play for fun and the entertainment value.

Playing craps is gambling.  There are no fool proof systems or methods to consistently win.  You will not get rich overnight.  There will be times when you lose money.  So while there is no one betting method or strategy that will consistently, it does not necessarily mean that you cannot consistently win.  You just need to know how.  If someone is going to guarantee their betting strategy will always win, then we strongly encourage you not to walk away, but to run.  Losses do and will occur.  The reason we teach people the game of craps is to put the player in the best possible position to win at the craps table.   That does not mean you will always win.

Most professional gamblers (and yes professional craps players do exist) set a goal to win $ 500 per day; play 5 days per week; and play 50 weeks per year.  A person winning $ 500 per day; 5 days per week; 50 weeks per year results in a person earning $ 125,000 per year ($ 500 x 5 days/week x 50 weeks/year = $ 125,000/year).  You can play craps part-time and continue working at your current position or job.  Consider this.  If you earn $ 200 in an hour or less playing craps and played for three hours a day that would result in earning $ 600 per day.  If you played 10 days per month (approximately 3 weekends) that would be earning $ 6,000 per month.  What is wrong with that?  Absolutely nothing!

One last thought about playing craps professionally - - it is not glamorous or easy.  It is work and it does require a lot of effort and knowledge of the game.  Really knowing the game and understanding the game is more than just knowing how to make a bet and the payouts of each bet.  If it was that easy every craps dealer would be playing professionally.  There is so much more to fully comprehending the game if you want to consistently win.  To learn more about the psychology of craps and our philosophies of playing craps, sign up for one of our Vegas seminars or register for our workshop held in Phoenix at my home at www.walkawaycraps.com.
